Job Description

Hope Residence is searching for an Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team.

We are currently hiring for a PT Activities Assistant. Hours include a day/evening combination and include every other weekend.  Opportunities for Full-Time. 

We’re looking for a caring, compassionate, experienced professional who loves making a difference people’s lives. We’re looking for an individual who truly cares about making our community the best home possible for our residents. We are looking for an part-time activities staff member serving individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Applicants must be flexible and be open to working different shifts and every other weekend.

Primary functions include (but not limited to):

  • Create and provide activities of therapeutic value.
  • Targeting group activities that will provide educational value, mental, physical and sensory stimulation (i.e. crafts, current events, 1 to 1’s, game time, baking, outside entertainment, bingo, discussion groups, active games, etc.).
  • Participating in community outings with residents.
  • Complete daily paper work as directed.

Qualifications

Three to four years of high school, basic everyday living skills, the ability to understand and follow directions, and the ability to read, write, add and subtract are required.
