Job Description

The Lutheran Home: Hope Residence, a 52-bed intermediate care facility for adults with developmental disabilities is seeking a Interim HR & RECRUITMENT DIRECTORThis position is responsible for onboarding and orientation, wage and benefits administration, employee training & development, and building and implementing a robust recruitment and employee retention program.

This is an interim position from approximately October 2019-January 2020.

This position is also responsible for leading the recruitment efforts for the Belle Plaine campus. This includes developing, implementing and executing strategies on sourcing quality candidates for current and future openings. The candidate must be skilled at deploying a variety of recruitment tactics including cold calling, internet searches/database mining, social media, and other out-bound recruitment methods for identifying and recruiting specialized and hard to find talent. The position is responsible for proactively building partnerships with schools, churches, community groups and businesses.

Qualifications required: A bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years healthcare recruiting/marketing or human resources experience. Must be energetic, resourceful, proactive, creative, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must display persistence, motivation, a high level of confidentiality, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership skills, and sound judgment. Must also have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and maintain a professional demeanor under stressful conditions.Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
